Request #16-661

Can you provide me with some statistics regarding Achievement First and the Providence Public Schools.

  1. For the past two school years -- starting 9/15 and 9/16 -- how many students who were selected in the initial lottery for admission to Achievement First did not enroll in AF schools? Were their positions filled by drawing additional lottery winners? If so, did all the additional students enroll in AF, or was there a third round of lottery drawing?

  1. Since AF began operations in Providence, how many students have left its schools and re-enrolled in Providence public schools for reasons other than completing the grades offered by AF?

Thank you.
